The world, it's, do you know what it IS, it is SOUPY. Nebulous.
This bothers me! It's not SUPPOSED to bother me, I am supposed to just, I don't know, FLOW WITH THE SOUP, or something, but I can't stand it! I can't stand the way it changes shape every time you look at it from a different angle! I can't stand not knowing things!
This post was actually much longer but it just started to get embarrassing so I gave up and deleted it. MOAN.

So this morning I woke up from a strange and vivid dream that, after throwing off the fog of sleep, I suddenly realized featured two people I'd dreamt about before a long time ago.
Two young women, one shortish and petite, with curly light-brown hair, and the other tall, with straight black hair. When I'd dreamt of them before, it was that strange dream in which reality was made of many worlds on top of one another, like floors in a skyscraper, the bottom being "hell" (the world of ghosts) and the top being "heaven" (the world of spirits). In that dream they were both in love with this villainous fellow, a white-haired pretty-boy of the sort you'd find in an anime, who was a ghost trapped in hell. This wasn't cause for jealousy or anything like that, because the two girls had been together their whole lives and shared everything and loved each other dearly. What they really wanted was to save this guy. At some point the dark haired girl died - or something like it - but her soul was missing, couldn't be found in any of the worlds. The curly-haired girl eventually found her way into heaven and became a spirit. The villain kept trying to escape hell, but things kept going wrong; the curly-haired girl kept trying to help him, but he didn't understand what was happening, and then by the time she won his trust he would get killed again and get pulled back to hell and forget that he'd learned she was trying to help and was trustworth. Time would keep repeating itself over and over. She was determined to eventually get him out of hell and find the other girl's soul, and then they could finally all be together.
My memory of the new dream is more patchy. They were the same two girls, I'm sure - same appearance and personalities. Dark-hair is quiet, gentle, almost motherly. Curly-hair is electric, energetic, cheerful and forceful. They had been reborn again and again throughout the ages, always together, begining in some sort of magical prehistory. This was toward a certain end, something was building up, but they were unaware of this. There was a third person again this time, a person that they both loved, but that person is an utter blank in my memory; I don't know who it was, what they looked like, or anything. I'm sure it wasn't that villain fellow from the first dream. I think it was a woman, this time. Whenever curly-hair got physically close to this third person, strange tremors would start rippling through reality; if they actually touched, these tremors would become near-cataclysmic. They had to avoid touching much. No one knew what would happen if they weren't careful.
There was a man they knew - my memory is of a gruff looking fellow with coal-black hair and a mustache. He had been around for a very long time. I think he had known at least one of them in one of their pre-history incarnations; maybe he had known them in other incarnations too. I don't think he had reincarnated like they had, he had just been existing all this time, one long life. He had found them again, was helping them somehow. But he went back to the old primordial place that he came from, I think to look for something from one of the girls' ancient lives, and while he was there this sleeping primeval monster awoke. It was going to kill him and eat him, I think, but I didn't see what happened, only knew he was deeply afraid, even though he had lived for so long.
I remember the three girls (?) at a festival. Curly-hair was in a disguise, dressed like a boy, but the outfit was very old-fashioned, street-urchin like, with suspenders and one of those little hats - augh, I suck at period clothing, I don't know what time period that's from, the 20's maybe? I have no idea why she was in disguise to begin with. She was arguing loudly with someone on a stage and laughing at them. Then shortly after that she and the mysterious third person deliberately came close to each other and touched hands. People didn't know what was happening, because it wasn't anything they could sense with their eyes or ears, but everyone felt it, and everyone was frightened. The third person backed off, but the curly-haired girl wanted to keep going, to see what would happen. The third refused; she(?) was afraid.
After that there's only disjointed images in my head - curly-hairl clinging tightly to the dark-haired one, crying, saying that she loves them both so much - it sounds like a protest. There's an image of curly-hair lying on one side of dark-hair, the mysterious third person on the other, and curly-hair and the third are reaching toward each other without touching. The impression of longing - not just for each other, but for whatever unknown and possibly horrible thing they'll cause to happen by touching. They're afraid of it but they instinctively crave to make it happen.
I have the sense that this is all significant in some way, but I can't fathom how.

The new issues of Shousetsu Bang Bang are both out now, girl's side and boy's side! And did she say 220,000 words?! Oh god there's no way I'm going to get through all this. Anyway - if you didn't already know, I've got a story in for the girl's side this year, which clearly contains no lesbians. NONE. Nope, nada.
The Archive
It's so obvious that it wants to be a novel that it's embarassing and the sex scene is too short to even really be considered porn, but hey, it's still one of the better things I've ever written. orz

Ugh. UGH. urrrrrgh.
I feel. I feel all wrong. I feel strange. I feel anxious, like there's something I'm forgetting. Like there's a million things I'm forgetting. Maybe I shouldn't have had that frappichino. I'm dizzy. Everything's tilted. My insides feel all jumbled up. There's a sensation like something's squirming around in my belly and trying to crawl up my throat.
Maybe I'll just go to bed. Er.

So LJ has apparently decided the way to remedy the bitching about the "strikethrough" business is to just... remove the strikethrough? Suspended accounts now appear as bolded text, no link:
ponderosa121
(^That user, btw, was suspended for a slash drawing of Harry and Snape posted on the ever famous pornish_pixies, in which Harry was clearly at least 17 or 18. Permanently suspended, btw. All of her accounts. No appeal possible. She's not allowed to create any new ones, either.)
I'm sure no one will notice the suspensions, now! How very clever, LJ! ...er...
Seriously, why don't they get a decent PR rep? I can't figure it. Because, you know, as any idiot could figure out, even if this odd change wasn't made for the purpose of "hiding" suspensions or something, it sure looks like a (very poor) attempt at it. It's obvious it would rub people the wrong way. Is it that they really don't care that they're getting all this hounding and negative publicity and that their customers are leaving? Because, you know, if that's the case, I think it would irritate people a lot less if they just said so.
I actually wouldn't be surprised if that was the case, though. Remember, when was it, last week, week before last maybe? When half the freaking internet went out because of a power outage? And Six Apart dealt with getting LJ back up after all their other services, and didn't bother to update us on progress like they did for their other users? I don't get the impression I'm a very high priority customer from that.
Sigh. I really did want to think things would get better. I really did want to think I'd be able to buy another year's subscription. But I can't really justify it to myself.

So I was thinking about Claymore and tarot and wondering which archetypes various characters would fit. The three most obvious are the Fool (child Clare/Raki), the Hermit (Irene), and the Hanged Man (god, especially the Hanged Man - Jean is obviously based on Joan of Arc, thus sacrifice, martyrism, ect.) I've so far come up with...
The Fool - split image of Clare as a child and Raki
The Magician - Galatea
The High Priestess - possibly Miria?
Strength - an image of when Teresa was on her knees and crying and the child Clare was hugging her (maiden taming the lion)
The Hermit - obviously Irene
Hanged man - obviously Jean
The Devil - Either Isley or Pricilla in her child form (if the latter, possibly when she's clinging to Raki)
The Tower - Pricilla (in her horned awakened form)
The Star - Teresa
...I'd ask if anyone else had any ideas on the issue, but not many of you know the tarot and I think even fewer of you are watching/reading Claymore, so probably no one knows what I'm talking about... T^T
Thinking on it, Claymore would be great to do a series of Tarot based icons on, but I totally lack the patience to do 22 freaking Claymore icons.
ETA: Oh, I'm sorry Siendra. Clearly you were right. No subtext here at all.

Dave: The tarot readings.
Me:
Me: ...Why?
Dave: I like pictures of girls holding cards.
Me:
Dave: While topless.
Me: ...
Dave: Could you also -
Me: NO I COULD NOT a moment later... Dave: So I'm going to take pictures, okay?
Me: No!
Dave: Come on, it'll be good for business!
Me: Why would it be good for business?
Dave: I'm sure other people would love to see you holding cards!
Dave: While topless!

Siendra: Lesbian hints in Claymore... Other then the bit with Ophelia, wtf?
Me: .......are you blind
Me: *cites lots of stuff, including Jean's "my life belongs to you now" schtick*
Siendra: That happens at some point in just about EVERY anime or manga with a medieval theme, and knight-like characters. I don't hear people screaming "OMG BOY LOVE" every time it happens in other series. :|
Me: ...Then you really haven't been paying attention. ??? How could anyone miss the girl-love undertones in Claymore?! I mean, I'll grant you they're just undertones and not overt, but they're definately there in abundance. I think the problem here is the undertones in this series are played out more like the boy-love undertones in lots of series directed at girls, i.e., it's not all "OMG LOOKIT THE BOOBS". Unless there are tits all in their faces some guys just won't get it. I do sort of wonder at that though. Claymore is distinctly not a shoujo in any way shape or form. So why is the fanservice so... subtle? Also, I am very disappointed in you Siendra. You of all people (being that you are acquainted with me) should know if a boy says "my life belongs to you now" to another boy in an anime THAT MEANS THEY LOVE EACH OTHER VERY MUCH AND ARE TOTALLY BANGING. Or at the very least secretly want to be banging. I also want to know why I seem to be the only person worshiping Irene. Everyone else is gaga for Clare or Galatea or Teresa or someone. Whyyyyyyyyyyyy. I'll grant you the whole Galatea carrying Clare thing was incredibly adorable, but it just doesn't hold a candle to the whole hot bdsm Irene pushing Clare's face into the bed thing. ...Irene ♥ I need an Irene icon.

It just occurred to me I haven't even thought about a title for this thing. Fortunately an obvious and likely possibility dawned on me immediately - "The Archive". This is possibly stupid but I will probably be going with that if no one else has a better suggestion.
Also, I have just come across a spoiler (come ON, people, you really expect me to have the fortitude not to click on your cuts? xP) that proves there is no god. All the other spoilers I've come across were things I had predicted or at least did not find surprising. This, however.

So I don't know whether to write this dream in present tense or past tense because I'm not sure changing tense right here won't feel clunky but dreams always feel more natural to me in present tense and I'm sort of barely holding off blind panic because jesus shit NINE DAYS.
Also I still haven't worked up the inner fortitude to get myself to do something about my lack of experience with libraries and Ms. Shadow-fairy-vampire-whatever thang is still being an elusive bitch.
